Why can't they just accept that these two guys work harder and they're great fighters?
It's not about Freddie Roach. It's not about Manny Pacquiao. It isn't about steroids. On May 15, the bell is going to ring and we're going to settle it in there.
I know some people have made some comments about [Pacquiao and Khan] using steroids and that ticked me off
He wants to beat Freddie Roach. That’s his motivation ... He wants to put him in his place. He beats Pacquiao, he puts Freddie in his place, too. Roach says he [Pacquiao] is going to knock him out.
I like Ricky Hatton. He is one of boxing's good guys. But this is a hard, hard sport to quit when you have been at the top. But as a trainer, you've got to tell fighters the truth.
He wants to beat Freddie Roach. That’s his motivation ... He wants to put him in his place. He beats Pacquiao, he puts Freddie in his place, too. Roach says he [Pacquiao] is going to knock him out.
If he continues fighting, he's [Ricky] going to jeopardise his health. I would not want to be a part of that
He wants to beat (Pacquiao's trainer) Freddie Roach. That's his motivation
I'm disappointed [in Clottey] ... He's fighting for the title and he fought like he didn't want to win it.
Ask Oscar [De La Hoya] and Richard [Schaefer] why we're not fighting each other. Him and Freddie Roach refused! So we moved on and got bigger and better [things]. We've got bigger fish to fry than Amir Con on April 10. If Amir Khan wants it, then he knows our number. We called him out numerous times. .....
I don't care who trains Joshua Clottey for this fight — he can't beat us ... I go for a kill at all times.
It just seems to be the people around him saying they don’t want Maidana. Freddie Roach pretty much said Maidana doesn’t mean anything and he needs to build himself up. But I find that quite a strange quote as Amir’s never been shown on American TV.
I'm just happy to be a part of Manny Pacquiao's life
Khan seems unlikely to face Maidana but will go for a bigger name in America to boost his profile. A victory over Marquez will do exactly that. This will be Khan's toughest test yet but under Freddie Roach I can see him taking the ageing Marquez the distance and winning by a clear decision.
Manny, the accusations, why can’t they just say he’s a good fighter? ... These guys, they’re ruining their own sport. They should think before they speak. But they seem incapable of that.
It was a tough fight and he was an awkward opponent ... We work on everything to prepare for the fights, Freddie Roach is the best.
But the disappointment of the public is what we’re concerned with ... We want to give the public what they want.
I saw Mr Freddie Roach behind me. He said, 'I told you already to leave this gym; to get the hell out of here.'
He had a good defense, but defense isn't enough to win a fight
Maidana is my mandatory, and I am going to take that fight. I am very confident about that fight. I spoke to Freddie Roach [Amir’s trainer]. He’s also very confident about that fight. And we’ll start getting ready for that fight.
Everything's working now ... It's easy.
It's a fight the world wants to see ... Floyd, let the commission do their jobs. Let them run the rules. You don't run the sport. Get in the ring and fight us.
His habits are that he doesn't chase punches, he just puts the earmuffs on
I think he can stop him ... He's got a good chin. But the punch that will get you is the punch you don't see.
I think the fight will happen because he (Mayweather) wants to make Pacquiao money ... He can't make it with anyone else. It's a great fight. It's the fight that everybody wants to see. That puts us (boxing) back in the lead of MMA. That's a fight that's good for the sport.
